This was a super last minute and impromptu trip. Infact, I had no plan to travel until mid July. As we do have some long weekends holidays during April, May, August and October. I was just casually looking at flight ticket for the month of August with no definite plan.

Out of the blue, my mom asked me to checked the flight ticket to Korea departing on the last week of March.

It was a Saturday afternoon (23 Mar) and I’ve check the flight ticket for 25 Mar. To my utmost surprise the flight ticket to Korea was very affordable! It was too good to be true as it was at the start of Cherry Blossom season! I was not sure if we will get to see cherry blossom in Seoul. While doing my research I came across some articles talking about Jinhae cherry blossom festival. It mention that it was one of the must visit place to see cherry blossom.

I sat on it for a while and did not do any flight booking until late in the night as I want to be sure that its worth splurging for this last minute adventure. Also I need to check if there were hotels, KTX (express train) available, 1 day tour available. So many things to consider in a short amount of time.

Once I checked that KTX is available (most important!) we decided to go ahead with the trip. I booked a 1 day tour through this website called Trazy and the local tour operator was Ktourstory. This was my first time purchasing a 1 day tour with Trazy.com, and I must say the process was very simple and hassle free.

After I made my payment, I received an email confirmation instantly. We plan to stay 2 Days 1 Night in Busan with the main highlight – Jinhae cherry blossom.

As we embark on our train to Busan in the early morning from Seoul, we couldn’t see much cherry blossom. When we were slowly approaching Busan we started seeing cherry blossom.

Around Busan station, there were cherry trees in full bloom. We made our way to our hotel and began to explore the city.

The next day we woke up really early for our anticipated trip – Jinhae cherry blossom festival! We arrived at the meeting point at least 30 mins ahead as we wanted to get some breakfast. There were so many people who booked this 1 day trip through various website and the local operator were the same.

We opted for a English speaking guide and we were each given 1 Paris Baguette bun and a bottle of mineral water. I was smiling like a silly girl in a candy shop… I was so excited as I really don’t know what to expect. When we finally reach our destination.. OMG I am truly lost for words. It was so breathtaking and magical!

One of the main perk of this 1 day trip organized by Ktourstory was we were given sufficient time to explore each place (Gyeonghwa Station & Yeojwacheon Stream). We can take all the photos we want till we are contented and still have sufficient time to spare before the assemble time. I highly recommend you to give this 1 day trip to Jinhae Cherry blossom festival a go during the next cherry blossom season. Its completely hassle free – I don’t have to worry where to catch the public bus, what was the last bus, will I find my way and can I reach the destination and so forth.
