Eyre Peninsula – Whalers Way

If you are planning a trip down to Port Lincoln, I highly recommend that you visit Whalers Way. This is a stunning private land which you get to see so many amazing sights. I lost count of how many times I say WOW 😍.

First off, you will need to visit the tourist information center at Port Lincoln to purchase the permit. It cost us AUD 40 per car to enter. Once payment is made, we were given a map with the special key code along with instructions and write-up of the attractions.

You may enter the private land either with a 2 wheel or a 4 wheel drive (subject to weather condition). While we were there, I also saw cyclists entering the land. It must be so challenging for them as the road is not pave and there are lots of up and down slope. Kudos to them!

There are many stops which you can stop to take a look at the many beautiful sights. The clear bluish greenish water and the blue white skies make each sights so magnificent. If you are looking at the star attraction (it’s not very far from the entrance) *hint 😉*

While we were in awe with the stunning beauty, listening to the waves crashing against the rock sound very pleasing to the ears! We saw a wild emu running along the roadside before it dashed through the bushes as well as a lizard of sort (no idea what it’s called) though.

All in all for a small fee of Aud 40, it is definitely worth paying for it. I’m so glad that we made the decision to visit as we were not sure if our car was able to enter the land. With the favourable weather condition, I would say this would be by far one of our favourite sites during our road trip.

If you can do visit Whalers Way, if you can’t enjoy the beautiful sceneries below. 😊

XOXO
