Singapore – Upper Peirce Reservoir

As we slowly make our way to Upper Peirce Reservoir via the old Upper Thomson Park Connector. It was pretty shady and at this point we have walked slightly more than 2 hours (I think, did not check the distance as well)

From the entrance of Upper Peirce Reservoir, that was when the real challenge begins! The road was narrow and it’s also a 2 ways road. On top of that it has numerous up and down slope. At that point I began to lose some steam. The weather was just so hot, humid and unbearable.🥵 I believe it was a 40 mins walk to reach the reservoir park and another 40 mins walk back to the main gate of the reservoir. 😓

I think it will be better if you start from Upper Peirce Reservoir rather than starting from Khatib Mrt Station unless you are season walker/ well train. Unlike me, my poor feet was pleading me to rest! The moment I see the carpark, I knew there will be benches waiting for me. Hooray!

It was my first time here and as I look around it was really tranquil and gorgeous! I was in a dilemma to rest my feet or to snap pictures. Oh well I decided I can stand a bit longer to capture the beautiful view before resting my feet.

After resting for a while, I was not looking forward to walking back to the main gate. But before we made our way out to the main gate, there is a slip road where we can view Upper Peirce Reservoir at another angle. I hesitate to make that detour as my legs does not want to cooperate. Since I may not be visiting this reservoir anytime soon I urged myself to continue on. I must say I was truly not disappointed. It was just so beautiful; just that the weather is not so kind. 🥵

After taking a few quick photos and taking a moment to enjoyed the beautiful view, it’s time to walk all the way back to the main gate. So see you all at Lower Peirce Reservoir.

XOXO
