A while back I was googling for recommended Japanese cuisine and Sen of Japan pops up a few times. I decided to check out the reviews and their menu. When I first saw the ala carte menu, honestly I think the price point is on a slightly higher side. But then again I would think when one visited Sen of Japan you will not be disappointed given the quality of the meal. When I saw their weekday set lunch menu with the given options and the price point it caught my attention! So it was decided that we pay them a visit on a weekday when I am on leave.

Sen of Japan is located at Marina Bay Sands and the restaurant is very bright due to the natural sunlight shining in from the full window panels. As I was facing the window I get to admire the gorgeous view of the blooming water lilies! 💕

We ordered the black cod set and the wagyu beef set. As this is our first time visiting the restaurant we were pleasantly surprised when the waitress served us our lunch. The initial impression was they have stack the Bento box + tray together was to served 2 different set. But we were wrong, the Bento box (4 items) + tray (4 items) was for each set!

I must say given the location the price for their set lunch was so worth paying for! For every mains item it comes with assorted tempuras + dipping sauce, salad, miso soup, rice, fruits and Chef’s appetizer. Top up for another S$3 you get to have free flow of green tea. The presentation of the food is beautiful and the serving portions is generous as well! The cod fillet is thick and fresh. While the beef (medium-rare) was seared beautifully. Absolutely mouth-watering! 😋

I also tried their Pumpkin Ice Cream with Puffed Rice. Hmm, it tasted very yummy but for the price point I think it’s not worth paying for. I could get a double scoops of ice cream elsewhere! 😅

All in all the dining experience was amazing. It has been sometime back since we visited Sen of Japan and we are still reminiscing about how good the meal was! So do give them a try and let me know what you think!
As 2020 is coming to a close (in about 15 mins time ~ Singapore time) and 2021 is fast approaching I would like thank all of you for visiting my humble blog. Wishing everyone a happy and amazing year ahead! ❤ 🍾 🥂
