Bali – Uluwatu Temple

Right after lunch we make our way to Uluwatu Temple… This breath taking temple sits on a cliff approximately 70 meters above sea level and overlooking the Indian Ocean… Wow, I really don’t know how to describe my feeling when I first saw what unfold right before my very eyes.

The gorgeous blue backdrop of the skies it makes the colours of the red and pink bougainvillea’s pop. With the crashing waves towards the shoreline, it makes the whole photo/scenery so beautiful.

It was truly a mesmerising view and to hear the loud roar of the ocean waves… I am in awe and somehow it felt very therapeutic.

We were told to be careful of our belonging as there will be monkeys roaming around the temple grounds who are notorious of snatching visitors’ belonging. As it was a very hot day, we did not see any monkeys. They were probably taking their afternoon nap!

To be honest I didn’t even get to see the temple from a far. I understand that the temple is only open to worshippers. What I see so far was the pathway leading towards the temple… I either had time to explore the right or the left extreme end of Uluwatu Temple grounds… I believed you need to spend at least 2 hours to really explore the temple ground and photos captured at both extreme ends would be very beautiful. I definitely need to be back to explore the temple grounds slowly at my own pace and not being rushed!

XOXO
