We wanted to try the pork ribs while in Bali as this is a famous dish. Almost every other eatery we drove pass we see the signage for BBQ pork ribs. With so many choices available, the next question will be where should be have our lunch?
Initially, we wanted to visit another restaurant that is famous for it pork ribs. Due to time, we were not able to patronize that restaurant. We simply told our local driver what we want to eat and let him recommend which restaurant.
From the lack of sleep the night before, we were knock out while enroute to Uluwatu Temple. Somehow we woke up before arriving at the restaurant.
Our driver has stopped us at Iiga Warung and not knowing what to expect we just went in. I think the main revenue for this restaurant are tourists. There were numerous family groups/couples while we were there. And we could see a numbers of private hire cars parking and waiting for their guests.

In terms of pricing.. I personally feel that it’s on a higher end. Since tourist will be willing to pay for it while I believe locals Indonesian would not have paid for it..

While we were there, the service at Iiga Warung was pretty fast be it taking our order or serving us our food. I opted for their mix juice and pork ribs with fries. I initially thought that I could select the type of fruits for my juice. Well I was wrong, the restaurant already had their own concoction for the juice.
After our order, we were served a bowl of prawn crackers and their Iiga Warung in-house special BBQ sauce. The sauce looks simple but when we tasted it, it was so good! It has the usual BBQ taste, it was also tangy and spicy at the same time! YUM ~!

Next up was my mix juice, it tasted not too bad. It was thick, almost like a smoothie consistency. There was papaya, banana and I can’t figure what else was added since the banana overpower the taste of other fruits.
And… Finally the main course.. the pork ribs grilled with their slow braised homemade sweet sour sauce and their in house sweet, spicy BBQ sauce. Hmm.. the presentation looks good. However, I personally feel that the pork ribs was not very tender and it was kind of tough to cut with the knife. Overall, the taste of the pork ribs at this restaurant is good.. just that I wish it was a lot more tender and maybe meatier…
XOXO,

Bali – Green Kubu Cafe
This is a lovely cafe, with nice open air siting and indoor seating (without aircon) I like how they have bright colourful umbrellas with comfortable beanbag for guests to seat back & relax while enjoying their meal and soaking in the sunshine (if you enjoyed the heat). Before we reached the cafe there was small…
