Singapore – Beverly Hill Cheesecake

Is the hype for Beverly Hill Cheesecake over? Seems like there is hardly any queue these days. I may be wrong but this is just my personal observation each time I walked past.

When the kiosk was under renovation, the advertisement indicates that Beverly Hill Cheesecake sells dessert from The Cheesecake Factory Bakery and it’s made in USA. I was intrigue and at the same time curious to know how much does a slice of Cheesecake cost.

Needless to say, when the kiosk was open on 9 July, the queue was insane!! People were queuing up almost every day and I was surprised that they even open so early in morning (for the first week I think) offering office workers an option to buy cheesecake for their breakfast.

I am not a huge cheesecake lover but I do enjoy eating cheese! I thought if the price is decent then why not give it a try one of these days. So last week I decided to buy 1 slice of the classic cheesecake and give it a try.

The graham crackers crust is thin – most cheesecake base is slightly thicker. The cream cheese is not overwhelmingly strong and the texture of the cake is dense. It’s not overly sweet and I don’t feel jelak (sick of eating) after eating it. I pair the cheesecake with a glass of Chinese Pu-Er Tea. Overall, the cheesecake tasted pretty good! 👍

The question is will I buy it again? Maybe not, like I said before I am not a huge cheesecake fan. To be honest I feel the price of the cheesecake cake is kind of steep for their non-classic flavours and that is stopping me for wanting to give it a try. Perhaps on some special occasion, I may consider buying it. But in the meantime, I think I can get better deals elsewhere.. hmm… (oh please don’t be mad at me.. this is just my personal choice and opinion!!)

XOXO
