Update 2023: They have relocated to Marina Square. With the new location it is more expensive but food is still as just delicious.
Have you heard of Sofra which is located at Shaw Tower? The noob in me have not hear of it until recently.
This restaurant sells authentic Turkish cuisine and have been establish since 1999. I first tried Turkish cuisine when I visited Turkey around 9 years ago and I love their cuisine since then. Every now and then I do enjoy a good kebap.
At Sofra, they serve a wide variety of kebap which all looks very appetizing. Their chefs are from Turkey and the restaurant atmosphere is cosy and casual. It’s a nice place to enjoy a good meal. If you enjoy coffee, perhaps their Turkish coffee may appeal to you.

So far, I have tried their various set lunch and I was never disappointed. In fact, after I tried this first item – Chicken Tombik Doner. I kept thinking of vising them again and again to try their other items. Their doner was soft, fluffy and it was freshly baked. The chicken was grilled to perfection and it was served together with crunchy shredded cabbages and carrots. It was just so yummy!

Subsequently, for my other visits I tried their Healthy Kebap (Mix beef & Lamb), Kunefe with Ice-cream, Tauvk Guvev (Oven Bake Chicken and Cheese), Red Lentil Soup and Chicken Pide. I was not expecting the Chicken Pide serving to be huge since it was one of their set lunches. It was so filling that I did not have my dinner that day! If you have not visited Sofra, do give it a try and let me know what you think!

Their opening hours are as follows:
- Mon – Thu: 11:30 am – 9:30 pm
- Fri : 11:30 am – 10:00 pm
- Sat: 12:00 am – 10:00 pm / Sun: 12:00am – 9:30pm
XOXO
