Melbourne is a metropolitan city. In this city alone there are so many eateries. Over the years many restaurants emerges and closed at the same time. Bubble tea seems to be trending and I see many of such stalls popping out everywhere in the city center.
I am sharing with you the places I visited during my recent trip to Melbourne. When I was listing down where I have visited. My gosh… I think I am such a glutton!! In a mere short trip I had so much food!
In no particular order here you go…
1) Pho Bo Ga Mekong Vietnam
I tried their phó 2 years ago and in 2019 I went back again to have a hot steaming bowl of Phó. You can have a choice of small and medium size with a price difference of AUD$1. The broth is tasty and they were generous with the serving of bean sprouts and basil leaves.
Also at the front of their shop there was a sign that mention “President Bill Clinton had 2 bowls, how many can you have….” Well, I want to try other cuisine so 1 bowl is enough! But I will definitely be back to have a bowl of Phó when I visit again!

2) Lord of Fries
Ah my fries♡~ This is a fast food restaurant which sells burgers, fries, hotdogs, etc. I, however adored their fries with the various sauces. This was on repeat while I was there.. Tried their shoe string fries with Middle East sauces and shoe string fries with Parisian sauces. I preferred the Middle East sauce which was roasted garlic hummus. Amazing! ♡

3) Pancake Parlour
Omg! Their pancake is so soft, fluffy and so yummy! I think I had the farmer’s breakfast set.. You can choose the cooking style of eggs you like to pair it with the pancake. Pancake Parlour have a wide selection of pancakes. Both savoury or sweet you choose your pick!

4) Westlake Restaurant
Was thinking of trying Dim Sum while we were there. But do not know where to have it. So happen we walk through Chinatown the night before and saw Westlake Restaurant serving Dim Sum and we decided to give it a try the next day since it was the only restaurant we saw selling Dim Sum. I must say we truly enjoyed the Dim Sum. The prawn items were very fresh and they were generous with the prawn. Price point wise I think its a fare price in Aussie. However, if I were to compared the price with Singapore I think Dim Sum is much cheaper back home. But on another note, I may not get to enjoy huge fresh prawns.

5) Sushi Hub
WOW, I dont think I have seen huge Sushi before! They have a wide selection of huge Sushi for take away. I enjoyed the katsu prawn with Avocado alot!! It was so good that I packed a few of this yummy Sushi back home for breakfast the next day!

6) Hot Star
If you enjoyed eating fried chicken while on the go, this will be a good choice. They do have various type of seasoning which were not available in Singapore for example chicken salt or Cajun flavour.

7) Borek Bakehouse
Turkish bake pastries! Loved it the first time I tried and still enjoyed it on this 2nd trip. So soft and yummy!
Address: 481 Elizabeth St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia

8) Unabara Lobster and Oyster Bar
I have never enjoyed ramen, somehow Unabara ramen is really good! The noodles is chewy and the broth is so flavorful infused with lobster. My gosh, please go give them some love when you visit Melbourne.

9) Brunetti Cafe
I have been living under the rock!! How noob can I be? Have not heard of this cafe even though they have an outlet in Singapore? My gosh.. their selection of desserts is amazing! I had a hard time choosing what I want… pity I was too engrossed taking photos of the food that I didn’t take any photos of the cafe… it is a cosy place to chill and relax your tired feet from all the walking!
Address: 250 Flinders Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia

10) Hungry Jacks
This is just like Burger King but better in my opinion. Tried their double cheese burger and Smoky BBQ Angus. Yummy!

11) Gelateria Primavera
This was on repeat. Simply love their ice-cream. Their pistachio ice-cream was really good. It has a rich nutty flavour and they are generous with the amount of pistachio that was used to made the ice-cream.
Address: 157 Spring St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia

12) Nam Loong Seafood Restaurant
Nam Loong Chinese Restaurant sells noodles and steam buns while Nam Loong Seafood Restaurant sells seafood items. We tried both restaurants and prefers the one selling seafood. Price point, I think its a norm to pay per dish anything from AUD $20 – $25. It may be pricey but I think its worth it, the portion is a good size. We were given a complimentary bowl of Lotus root soup which was so flavorful and delicious. Its warm us up as the weather was kind of cold.
Address: 171 Russell St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia

13) Minh Xuong Seafood and BBQ Restaurant
Tried their roasted pork with soy sauce chicken. The portion is so huge! Their wanton soup is also very delicious, the prawn is so fresh.
One thing to note.. if you are planning to accompany your friend for a meal and not have anything. This restaurant have a minimum order of AUD $10 per pax. If I am not wrong its the same for all restaurants. So if you are too full to have anymore food and you want to try their roasted pork it will be best to order take away.

14) Conner co. 1903
